Porsche offers two vehicle protection plans that run concurrently with the factory warranty on your vehicle. If you sign up for a Porsche extended warranty, you can enjoy vehicle protection for as long as 10 years or up to 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. You can speak with our experts at Porsche Beachwood to determine which Porsche Vehicle Service Protection plan offers the best coverage for your needs.

What Will an Extended Warranty Cover on Your Porsche

What Will an Extended Warranty Cover on Your Porsche?

The Powertrain tier will cover the powertrain components in your vehicle, such as the engine, drive axle, transmission, and gaskets. The Platinum tier is more comprehensive. The Platinum plan will cover all elements of the Powertrain tier, along with climate control, suspension, shocks, steering, brakes, the electrical system, and the fuel system. The navigation display and Bluetooth elements of your vehicle may also be covered under the Platinum plan.
Porsche Vehicle Service Protection plans are available for pre-owned, certified pre-owned, and new Porsche vehicles. You can purchase this extended coverage when you buy your Porsche or sign a lease. You may also be able to sign up for extended vehicle protection after purchasing your Porsche if the vehicle is still under a new vehicle limited warranty.

What Are Extended Coverage Exclusions?

While extended protection will cover most components, there are some exclusions that may apply. Your longer warranty will not cover mechanical breakdowns that are already covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. It will also not cover mechanical breakdowns that are caused by preexisting conditions, accidents, vandalism, collisions, or weather-related damage.
If you do not stick to your recommended service schedule, you may forfeit some of your coverage benefits. The repair or replacement of hybrid batteries, battery cables, and electric batteries may also not be covered.

Does Your Porsche Dealer Offer Other Protection Plans?

In addition to extending your warranty coverage, you may also want to consider other protection plans for your Porsche. The Premier Tire & Wheel Protection program can provide coverage for tires that are structurally damaged by a covered road hazard, such as nails, potholes, or glass. This plan will also replace a wheel that is damaged by the road and prevents the tire from holding air.
Towing expense reimbursement of up to $250 per incident and other replacement costs are covered under this plan. Premier Tire & Wheel Protection will even repair cosmetic flaws on the wheel. The cosmetic repairs that are covered are painting, refinishing, and sanding. For the length of the term, you can have cosmetic wheel repairs up to eight times.
Porsche Vehicle Service Protection plans are active at the same time as the Porsche manufacturer warranty, even for pre-owned vehicles. To purchase extended vehicle protection for your Porsche, contact Porsche Beachwood today.
